River exposure changes how a gutter has to be attached
The Susquehanna is wide where it passes Wrightsville, and there is nothing between the water and the borough to slow the wind down. Houses on River Road, on the streets that face the crossing to Columbia, and anything sitting up on the hillside above town all get gusts that hit the fascia and the underside of the gutter at the same time.
